Cinnamon Applesauce

No need to buy applesauce, this is so easy to make yourself. The only thing you have to worry about is eating it all in one sitting.
INGREDIENTS
5+ apples - any type or variety
½ cup or more of water
½ lemon, juiced
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
Pinch sea salt
Ready in 20 minutes
Serves 1 or more

PREPARATION

Wash, peel and chop apples.

Place chopped apples in a medium saucepan over medium heat.

Add water and lemon juice.

Stirring occasionally, add more water if mixture becomes too dry and turn down heat to low.

When apples have broken down and are soft, add cinnamon and salt.

Use a blender, food processor or immersion blender to blend to desired consistency.

Eat immediately, or keep in refrigerator for up to a week.
TIPS

More water can be added if needed or making a large batch. This recipe is great because you can use 2 or 20 apples.

Add pecans or walnuts to add fat and even more fiber.

Cinnamon helps slow sugar absorption.
