Pinch sea salt

Ready in 20 minutes

Serves 1 or more

Anti-Inflammatory

High Fiber

1 tsp.

cinnamon

½

lemon

½ cup

water

5+

apples

PREPARATION
  1. Wash, peel and chop apples.

  2. Place chopped apples in a medium saucepan over medium heat.

  3. Add water and lemon juice.

  4. Stirring occasionally, add more water if mixture becomes too dry and turn down heat to low.

  5. When apples have broken down and are soft, add cinnamon and salt.

  6. Use a blender, food processor or immersion blender to blend to desired consistency.

  7. Eat immediately, or keep in refrigerator for up to a week.

TIPS
  • More water can be added if needed or making a large batch.  This recipe is great because you can use 2 or 20 apples.

  • Add pecans or walnuts to add fat and even more fiber.

  • Cinnamon helps slow sugar absorption.
